Eastland County Warrant Searches
Eastland County publishes no countywide name-search form on its Sheriff or court pages. Skip the general web search and go straight to the issuing court. A sheriff page, a court index, a payment portal, and the state license-compliance program each answer a different question, and none replaces the court itself. For a felony, call the 91st Judicial District Court or the District Clerk. For a Class A or B misdemeanor, ask County Court or the County Clerk. Fine-only cases and many non-city traffic matters go to a JP court, and a city ticket goes to that city's municipal court. The Texas Judicial Branch directory lists the county's court contacts in one place.
- Read the notice for the court, cause number, citation number, and type of case.
- Call that court and ask whether the file shows a warrant, capias, capias pro fine, or a different step.
- Request the issue date, current status date, appearance rule, and exact recall or reset instructions.
- Contact the Sheriff at 254-629-1774 only for county service, jail, or bond logistics.
- If the issue is a reported traffic FTA or FTP, check DPS compliance and then return to the reporting court for warrant confirmation.
No Eastland County Warrant Portal Was Located
The Sheriff's official page posts an office address, a phone number, an open-records form, a bond packet link, and the jail's duties. It offers no public active-warrant table, no online name form, no dedicated warrant phone line, and no posted update schedule. That covers the public website, not internal law-enforcement systems. The workable path is direct confirmation from the court that issued the process. If a county-held warrant or service question remains, call the Eastland County Sheriff's Office. Its general number is not a warrant hotline. VINE custody information is not a warrant result either.
What a Warrant Search Asks For
Eastland's local court pages ask callers to have the citation or docket/cause number ready when they inquire about payment or status. Use the grid to prepare for that call. It is not a public search form, and Eastland County has no shared county database with required search fields.
| Office | Useful Reference | What It Can Address |
|---|---|---|
| District Court or Clerk | Cause number and court name | District felony file and its process. |
| County Court or Clerk | Cause number and case level | Class A/B misdemeanor file and index information. |
| JP court | Citation number, date, and precinct if known | Fine-only, traffic, or magistrate question. |
| Municipal court | City and citation or docket number | City Class C, traffic, or ordinance case. |
| Sheriff | Case reference and reason for the call | County-held service, jail, or existing-records request. |
Eastland County's Court Levels Route Warrant Questions
The District Clerk sits at 100 West Main, Suite 206, and keeps the records of the 91st District Court. The County Clerk, in Suite 102, serves the constitutional County Court and links to county-court index information. The JP office works out of Basement 2. All three share the Eastland County courthouse address, yet one counter cannot certify another court's status. The District Clerk page and County Clerk page explain their roles. A clerk may locate an existing file, but the judge controls any recall, reset, or required appearance. For district matters, the District Clerk's page is the right route, not a countywide warrant-name search.

Read the court and clerk names on the notice before using the courthouse address.
Eastland County Warrant Search Results
Eastland County posts no public result page that would show a standard local record format. When you speak with an office, ask which file the answer came from. Also ask whether a later update could change it.
| Reference | Case, cause, or citation number helps staff identify the right file. |
|---|---|
| Issuing court | Shows the office that can explain its order or docket entry. |
| Wording | Ask whether the paper says warrant, capias, capias pro fine, or FTA/FTP. |
| Status date | Ask when the clerk last checked the entry and whether payment has posted. |
| Next step | Confirm appearance, motion, payment, bond, or written recall instructions. |
A clear result from one court speaks only for that court. It cannot cover another court, a sealed file, or a new Eastland County record not yet in an index.
Use a Cause Number for Eastland Warrant Calls
A common name can point to more than one person. Share identifying details only with the clerk or court through a private official channel, and give the case reference whenever you have it. The Sheriff's form has an incident or call-number field, but that does not create a warrant-specific name database. Without a number, tell the clerk the city or court on the notice, the approximate citation date, and the type of case. Ask the clerk to read back the court and process label so you know exactly what Eastland County has on file. Never post a relative's name, birth date, or case facts in a public place while seeking help.
Eastland County Warrants: Who Holds What
The state directory is an office list, not a live warrant search. Use the level that matches the case. If the court refers you onward, the Sheriff handles Eastland County execution and jail logistics.

DPS Flags Do Not Confirm Eastland County Warrants
Texas runs no single public statewide warrant portal. The DPS Failure to Appear/Failure to Pay Program touches driver-license renewal when a reporting court sends a citation-compliance record, and it does not expose every county or city warrant. The DPS FAQ states that license specialists cannot tell a caller whether a warrant exists. That question belongs to the court that reported the citation. After the court updates its record, DPS advises processing can take seven business days, so ask the court about its own posting and recall timing. Use the DPS program page for the license route. Then call the issuing Eastland County court for case status.
Which Warrants Stay Restricted
Not every field in a court or Sheriff file is open to the public. Juvenile law-enforcement records carry special confidentiality limits. Other statutory exceptions can also apply to active investigations or protected information in Eastland County.
The Sheriff’s request form asks for a description, delivery choice, signature, and photo ID. The agency may redact or withhold information and is not required to create a new record compilation.
Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs public information and its exceptions. A request to the Eastland County Sheriff reaches Sheriff-held records only; city-court files should go to that court.
The Sheriff Form Requests Existing County Records
The sheriff's public information request form works differently than a name checker. It spans two pages and asks what records you want. You choose examination, email, pickup, or mail as your delivery option, mark any redaction choices, and show photo ID with a signature. No fixed warrant-search fee appears on the form, and no response time is promised. If you know a case, cause, or citation number, put it in the description. Staff may call to clarify a broad request, and charges can apply. One limit matters: the office releases records that already exist in Eastland County rather than building a new warrant list for you. The Eastland Sheriff request form is the official fallback when no roster answers. For the Eastland County warrant overview, start at the county navigation map.
