Eastland County Warrant Records Eastland County Warrant Records

Your first stop is the municipal court printed on the citation. Eastland County has five city courts, and each keeps its own Class C, traffic, and ordinance files. The city clerk can pull the citation record and tell you its current status. City police and the County Sheriff handle enforcement and service, not the case file itself. Keep the city name and citation number handy. Ask about payment terms, resets, and whether an appearance is required. A quick call saves the trip.

How Municipal Court Warrants Work

A city court in Eastland County hears Class C, traffic, and ordinance matters for its own town. An unpaid citation or a missed appearance can trigger process. The judge may issue a warrant, capias, or capias pro fine. Ask the court which term applies. Do not assume it shows up on a county page. The Sheriff posts no countywide searchable list. A municipal warrant stays in that court's file unless the court or the serving agency says otherwise.

Eastland County has five municipal courts in the state directory. Pick your first call by the city named on the citation. Not every office offers an online lookup, and payment rules differ from town to town.

The Texas Judicial Branch directory lists contacts for all five Eastland County courts. It is an office directory, not a live case search.

Eastland Municipal Warrant Payment Rules

Eastland Municipal Court hears local Class C and ordinance cases at 113 E Commerce. Staff want a call before any payment. Provide the amount and your citation or docket/cause number. Payments at this Eastland County court can be a money order, cashier's check, or cash in person. Credit and debit cards carry a 3.5% fee. Personal checks are not accepted. Paying online counts as a no-contest plea, and processing takes the next business day. The court may also allow a payment plan, community service, deferred disposition, a driver-safety course, or hardship relief. The judge decides each request. Read the Eastland Municipal Court page before choosing a payment route anywhere in Eastland County.

Municipal Courts Across Eastland County

Cisco's court in Eastland County dates to the 1921 Home Rule Charter and handles city Class C and code cases. Judge Shila Creacy presides. Associate Judge Tammy Osborne is listed too. The court's direct line differs from City Hall's main number, so dial carefully. Ranger lists Judge Doyle Russell. Its court window keeps weekday hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Ranger court and police share a street address but carry separate phones; staff answer citation questions while dispatch takes operational calls. Gorman and Rising Star hold state-directory entries too. Neither Eastland County town runs its own public warrant search, so call the municipal office first.

Eastland County Municipal Warrant Checks

Call the city court first. The citation or the state directory has the number. Ask whether the case sits in that court and whether a warrant or capias is recorded. Get the current status date too. Confirm whether payment, a motion, or an appearance is required. Eastland County uses a Public Information Request Form for an existing Sheriff record. It asks for a description, delivery choice, signature, and photo ID. It does not list every city warrant. City files go to the city. If county service or jail logistics come up in Eastland County, call the Sheriff's Office after the court confirms the need.

Police and Court Jobs Stay Separate

Police pages give law-enforcement contacts. The municipal court keeps the citations and court orders. Eastland Police Department lists traffic enforcement and investigations but offers no public warrant search. Cisco's Police page reads "Description coming soon," which says nothing about whether the court lacks records. Ranger splits its numbers three ways: municipal court, city police, and Eastland County Dispatch. Gorman and Rising Star list County Sheriff coverage. These routes do not replace the judge or clerk. For a county service question, the Eastland County Sheriff's general number is 254-629-1774, but it is no municipal citation hotline.

Municipal Warrants: What They Show

No shared results screen exists. None of the five cities publishes a sample municipal warrant. Ask the court to name the fields in its own Eastland County file and the event date behind the current status.

City Court Recalls Follow Local Posting

Cisco requires contact before payment. Its online payment counts as a no-contest plea, with processing the next business day. The bureau code is 6706661. Ask if an option fits your case. Published choices may include an extension, payment plan, community service, jail credit, indigence waiver, deferred disposition, or trial and appeal bonds. The Eastland County judge decides each request. Cisco's payment page handles city citations, not a warrant-name search, and the warrant is not recalled until payment posts.

Clearing a Municipal Court Warrant

Ask the municipal clerk which remedy the court allows. Depending on the city and case, options may include a reset, payment plan, community service, deferral, or a hearing. A clerk can explain the published route. Any motion or discretionary request goes to the judge, in any Eastland County court.

Paying a city citation is not county jail bond. Do not pay until the court confirms the current amount, acceptable method, no-contest effect, and how it will record recall.

Payment posting is not instant. Eastland and Cisco say a warrant is not recalled until payment posts. Ranger also lists a delay and asks users to keep a confirmation number. Get updated status from the same Eastland County court.

Gorman and Rising Star Stay Call-First

Gorman keeps things simple. City Hall answers weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 254-734-2317, and the Texas directory shows the municipal court at PO Box 236. Eastland County Sheriff deputies provide police coverage for the city. Neither Gorman nor Rising Star offers a public warrant lookup, payment portal, or posted recall policy online. Rising Star names Municipal Judge Wayne Parsons on its personnel page, with 254-643-4261 as the contact. Its Ordinance No. 2024-03-A, dated March 14, 2024, moved the city police force to Eastland County Sheriff coverage as well. So in both cities, call before you assume anything. Ask the court about case status, accepted payments, and appearance terms. Ask whether a county officer must be contacted too. Eastland's fee schedule and Cisco's vendor code do not apply here, and for the county court levels plus the records-request route, the Eastland County overview has the details.
